We are quick to judge other people before we truly know ourselves. Do you know who you are? Most people send their entire lives trying to answer that question. At the first Ambassadors session, students took steps toward better understanding themselves as a way to build harmony with others. The Ambassadors wrote their story as the first step toward sharing their stories with other people.
During the exercise, the Ambassadors thought about words that described them, either by themselves or by others. Using these words, they wrote a poem or a one-page biography about who they are. Next, the Ambassadors were asked to write their origin stories. Where do you come from? What community or neighborhood are you a part of? Where did your family originate?
Using all of their notes, the Ambassadors wrote a poem or one page narrative about where they came from and how that affects who they are today.
