Michigan nonprofit brings teens together to advance their leadership skills and community engagement, while writing more deeply among other teens.

One Earth Writing’s Senior Ambassador program is an opportunity for graduated One Earth Writing Ambassadors to continue writing more deeply among peers in a workshop setting while advancing their leadership skills and community engagement.

Students become more proficient writers and gain skills in offering critical feedback on other writers' work while expanding their circle of peers and connecting with community through readings, performances and publications.

One Earth Writing builds bridges of friendship, trust, and understanding between teens from different races, faiths and socioeconomic origins, using writing as the connector.

The Senior Ambassadors will meet at two different locations throughout the course of the program. In January 2018 we will meet at Madonna University, 36600 Schoolcraft Road, Livonia, MI 48150. During February and March, the Senior Ambassadors will meet at the Walter P. Reuther Library on Wayne State University, 5401 Cass Avenue, Detroit, MI 48202.

Senior Ambassadors commit to a full year, and may continue throughout their high school career. No more than three absences permitted during a school year.
